So who is behind all of this?
The Creators Project was born from a partnership between Intel and Vice. Together the two companies met over a shared passion for art and creativity, and a common belief that there was a better way of elevating artists and supporting new work with them. For both Intel and Vice, status quo is simply not good enough.
Frustrated by the generic voice of mainstream media, the founders of Vice Magazine set out to create a voice and a venue they could call their own. It was digital technology that turned the ambition into a reality. It was the innovations in desktop publishing that made Vice Magazine possible in the early 1990s. Today, low cost digital filmmaking, post production and high speed online distribution have democratized the worlds of film and television. Without these innovations VBS.TV would not have been possible and Vice would not have made the shift from print to video.
At the heart of this ongoing revolution is Intel. No matter what field of human endeavor you look at — science, sport, commerce, communications and media, the arts — it’s hard to imagine the last several decades of global human striving without the advent of digital computing technologies. And it’s virtually impossible to imagine modern computing without Intel. Intel chips, housed deep inside the computers and devices that we touch every day, have been the secret hearts bringing our new world to life. Intel processor technology and their steadfast belief in a better future has supported creators of all kinds, in all fields, from day one.
The Creators Project, and all Creators present and future, would like to thank our partners Intel and Vice for their vision, belief, and support. Together we think we can achieve many things in this new era of creativity.
